imhoff farm

Imhoff Farm is situated about 30 minutes drive from our house in Hout Bay, you drive over Chapmans Peak (R22 toll) to Noordhoek and then take the road to Kommetjie, which is in the direction of Cape Point. At a set of traffic lights on your right you will see Imhoff Farm, usually complete with camels sitting on the grass outside.

They sell some fantastic cheese's in a small shop there, which is actually made in a larger building to the rear of the farm. Although I have not been into it, I am told the snake farm is worth a visit.

There are two camel rides on offer, a short trip around the grass for R20, ideal for kids and first timers or a more scenic route for R85. The camels owner is very friendly, and helpful with kids who maybe a little scared. There is also a certificate for kids to show that they displayed courage and rode a camel. I guess adults could get one of these if they really wanted one.
